Kinky DIY tips and tricks

Posted on

Hi dear kinksters, it’s been a while! I hope you’re all doing great. 😉 Do you sometimes dream about having a real BDSM dungeon, with all kinds of cages, benches and crosses? I know I do. Sadly, all those things are super expensive. This is often the case with BDSM furniture, but it doesn’t have to be! In this post I will go over some tips and tricks for easy to build BDSM furniture. Let’s get into it!

Spreader bar

This is not really a part of the furniture, obviously, but since this is so easy to build.. I can’t not add it. You’ll need a broomstick and two eye screws. Saw the broomstick to its desired size and drill some holes for the screws. It’s that easy. You can cover the broomstick with some fabric and decorate it with upholstery pins to make it look a little fancier.

Spanking bench

A spanking bench is a welcome addition to any dungeon! You can tie people up in it, you can hit people on it, you can do both – the possibilities are endless. Even though, they can still be quite expensive. However, there’s always IKEA. If you don’t mind some crafting, you can easily make one out of the FINNVARD.

I like it.

You’ll need some MDF, memory foam and some fabric along with upholstery pins to cover it. You can use any kind of fabric you like – it doesn’t have to be all leather. Even though, it’s a good idea to pick a fabric that’s easy to clean. Soft, fluffy fabric would be super comfy, but imagine trying to get candle wax or any other bodily fluids out of that. Ew!

You can set up the FINNVARD and give it a lick of paint if you like. This will be the frame of the bench. The piece of MDF is going on top of the frame: saw it to the width you desire, secure it to the frame and you’re good to go. Glue the foam on top of the MDF plate and cut the fabric to the right size. Cover the foam with the fabric and staple it to the MDF plate with the upholstery pins.

And.. You’re done! You can make some adjustments if you want, like adding some bolts, rests for the arms and feet and so on. The fun thing about building things yourself is that you can make it exactly the way you want to.

Scaffolding tubes

Do you ever walk into a hardware store and start drooling when you think about the things you’d be able to build with something? Scaffolding tubes do just that to me. If you have the space and money for them – they can be quite expensive – you can go all out with them. You can make andreas crosses out of them, spreader bars, spanking benches.. Think of all the predicament bondage you can use it for! I think it looks quite cool.

There’s a lot of how-to‘s for creating furniture with scaffolding tubes. Add some eye screws and padding, and you’ll come a long way. 😉

There’s pervertables everywhere

There’s more people on the internet that made some step-by-step guides for building awesome stuff! It’s really funny how different all the builds are. All you need is some creativity and a dirty mind. Check it out:

Not everything has to be all red, black and leathery in order for it to be part of your sex life. Looking a little closer to the things you already own and finding a way to pervert them is fun as well! Sometimes, all it needs is a tiny adjustment. 😉 I hope everyone liked this post. Let me know what you think on Twitter and show me your own kinky DIY projects. I’m curious if more people are into building their own kink gear and I love to see what you made!
